Reflection of Digital Designs

This graphic made by the UCLA Athletic Department is a great example of digital design. They lean heavily on repetition and proximity to make this collage of people into a pyramid. This pyramid shapes adds a sense of unity to the picture that might be missing if they weren’t put in proximity with each other. UCLA’s colors also are a very pleasing contrast by themselves.

This graphic made by Wake Forest for National Student-Athlete day is extremely creative and pleasing to look at. The contrast between the stark black and the light gold sets the stage well for the graphic. There is repetition and contrast in the meat of the logo. On first glance, it looks like a simple reflection going around the logo, but as you look longer you see that the bottom of the reflection is actually their mascot. I like the proximity of the two suggesting that the players represent the mascot as well. Very creative, very simple and well-executed.

This infographic from the University of Wyoming does a good job in taking advantage of alignment. The numbers line up very well with the spacing between subjects on the picture. The two colors are very complementary and pleasing to the eye. The contrast of the coach looming large over the players adds a nice powerful main focus point to the graphic. Very well done infographic
